Privacy Notice
Last updated: October 2026 · Operator: Onboard Technologies
1. Who we are
Onboard Technologies is an Irish independent software studio that develops its own digital products (Onboard, Paperfox and Relayo) and provides website, web app and business software development services to clients.
Use our online enquiry form to contact us regarding privacy or data requests until a dedicated privacy email address is published.
2. Information we collect when you use this website
You can browse our public website pages without creating an account. We collect personal data when you choose to submit an enquiry through our Start a Project form:
- Your name, email address, optional phone number and optional organisation name
- Your existing website URL (if provided)
- Project or product enquiry details, budget guidance, timeframe and preferred contact method
- Your optional marketing opt-in preference (unchecked by default)
Please do not submit passwords, API keys, payment card information or sensitive personal data in the enquiry form. File attachments are disabled by default.
3. Website analytics and approximate location data
When you browse our public website pages we also record a small amount of technical information about the visit. This includes the page you viewed, the date and time, your approximate location (derived from your network address — normally the country, region or city, never your precise address), the name of the internet provider or organisation you connected from, your device type, browser and operating system, and the website or campaign that referred you to us.
We use this information to understand which pages and products are of interest, to see which regions our visitors come from, and to measure whether our marketing is reaching the right people (legitimate interests). It is not used to identify you as an individual, and we do not combine it with anything you submit through the enquiry form.
Each visit is recorded against a random identifier held only in your browser session, which is discarded when you close the browser tab. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies for this purpose. Visit records are visible only to studio administrators and are retained for up to 365 days.
4. How and why we use your information
- Responding to your enquiry (legitimate interests / pre-contractual steps): To review your project or product question, prepare a quotation or arrange a requested discussion.
- Optional studio updates (consent): Only if you explicitly tick the optional marketing checkbox, we may send occasional updates about our products or services. You can withdraw consent at any time.
- Security and abuse prevention (legitimate interests): Basic server-side validation and rate limiting to protect our enquiry system from spam.
5. Data storage, access controls & retention
Enquiries are stored in our application database hosted on the Base44 platform infrastructure. Row-level security rules restrict enquiry records so that public visitors cannot read, list, update or delete submitted enquiries; only authenticated studio administrators can view and manage them.
We retain enquiry records for up to 365 days (or for the duration of an active client relationship) before reviewing and deleting obsolete records through our administrator retention controls.
6. Your data protection rights
Under applicable Irish and EU data protection law (GDPR), you have the right to request access to the personal data we hold about you, ask for inaccuracies to be corrected, request erasure of your enquiry record, or object to processing.
